psychology - 1. the science of mind and behavior 2. a the mental and behavioral characteristics of an individual or group b. the study of mind and behavior in relation to a particular field of knowledge or activity. 3. a treatise on psychology - psychologist

sociology - 1. the science of society, social institutions, and social relationships; the systematic study of the development, structure, interaction, and collective behavior of organized groups of human beings 2. the scientific analysis of a social institution as a functioning whole and as it relates to the rest of society 3. SYNECOLOGY - sociologist

synecology - a branch of ecology that deals with the structure, development, and distribution of ecological communities - synecological (adj.) synecologist

theology - the study of religious faith, practice and experience theologian - a specialist in theology - theological (adj.) theologist

geology - 1. a science that deals with the history of the earth and its life, esp as recorded in rocks. b. a study of the solid matter of a celestial body (as the moon) 2. geologic features - geologist

ecology - 1. a branch of science concerned with the interrelationship of organisms and their environments. 2. the totality or pattern of relationships between organisms and their environments 3. HUMAN ECOLOGY- ecologist

humanecology - a branch of sociology concerned esp. with the study of spatial and temporal interrelationships between people and their economic, social, and political organization. - human ecologist

ergonomics - an applied science concerned with the characteristics of people that need to be considered in designing and arranging things that they use in order that people and things will interact most effectively and safely - also called human engineering - ergonomist

applied - put to practical use; applying general principles to solve definite problems (sciences)
